Looks like the quarterback carousel in Toronto is resolved

Ever since Damon Allen who used to be pro football's all time leading passer until Anthony Calvillo surpassed him last season retired after a season filled with injury back in 2007, the Toronto Argonauts have gone through numerous Quarterbacks from the likes of Michael Bishop who when Allen was injured played very well only losing 1 game as the starting pivot, Kerry Joseph who after winning both the Most Outstanding Player and the Grey Cup with the RoughRiders in Allen's last season which was of course in 2007 did not have the same for with the boatmen which led to a QB controversy in 2008 which led to Bishop being traded to the same team that Joseph played with the Riders. After the Boatmen had enough, they cut Joseph and replaced him with Cleo Lemon who was the starting QB when the Miami Dolphins of the NFL went 1-15 in the 07 season. Well after an average rookie season in 2010 where the Argos lost to the Als in the Eastern Finals, Jim Barker the GM decided to cut him midway through the 2011 season and replacing him was Steven Jyles who missed training camp and the first 9 weeks of the year due to injury but the Argos still missed the playoffs.
Well after struggling mightly at the most important position, the Argos went out on a huge limb trading Jyles along with kicker Grant Shaw and the second overall selection in the 2010 CFL Canadian College Draft to the Edmonton Eskimos for Ricky Ray. In his 9 year career all with the Esks, the 32 year old and future hall of famer played in the Grey Cup game 3 times winning 2 of them vs the Als, was the Grey Cup MVP in 2005 and a CFL all-star in 2006. With him under center the musical chair of QB's in Toronto appears to be over now because they have a proven veteran who has lots of experience which will improve the passing game as the Argos were last in the league in passing for a second straight year. Could he also help his new team reach the big game which will be played at the Rogers Centre in none other than T.O? He has a lot of work behind him to achieve that goal.
