Is Arland Bruce the savior that the BC Lions so desperately needed?

In the past, Arland Bruce has established himself as a premier playmaker in the CFL appearing in two Grey Cup game winning one with the Toronto Argonauts in 2004 and being a three time all star, but his off the field antics cause him to wear out his welcome as he eventually left the Argos in 2009 to provincial and divisional rival, the Hamilton Tiger Cats. On this day today, he was traded to the BC Lions who were in desperate need of a proven talented wideout.
The move that Head Coach and General Manager Wally Buono made was needed because now Quarterback Travis Lulay has another favorite target he can go to instead of relying heavily on Geroy Simon, Kamau Peterson and injured Paris Jackson.
While Bruce can be a big hand to help the struggling young receiving corps that the Lions have, is he worth the risk due to his troubled past such as having a dispute with head coach at the time Bart Andrus which caused his departure from Toronto and him leaving Hamilton due to his frustration with his diminished role in the offense due to the emergence of rookies Chris Williams and Bakari Grant. All in all, he will help the Lions in the short term, but is he going to take them out of the 0-5 hole and help his new team make the playoffs? We shall watch and see.
