Goodbye Davis and just another great leaves the game

The BC Lions found out today that Cornerback Davis Sanchez was annoucing his retirement today. It came as no surprise as he was reaching the tender age of 38. During his illustrious 11 year career with 4 different teams, the Delta, British Columbia native played in 155 games. In the games that he was a part of, he had 28 interceptions, was a three time Eastern Division All-Star, the Eastern Divisions Most Outstanding Canadian and a CFL All-Star. Theses statistics were nice, but what made Sanchez one of the most respected players in the league was his leadership. During his three stints in Montreal he was one of the cornerstones on that Montreal secondary which had helped them appear in four of the eight Grey Cup apperences (2000,2006,2008,2009) and winning three of them (2005 with Edmonton,2009 with Montreal and 2011 with BC).
So what is next for Davis Sanchez. Well possibly one day a spot in the CFL Hall of Fame.
