A Running Back who dominated the late 90's and early 2000's finally get the call

Despite the fact that he played on mediocre teams throughout his career, Curtis Martin will go down as one of the most prolific running backs to ever play the game. During Super Bowl weekend, he along with Cortez Kennedy, Willie Roaf, Chris Doleman, Dermontti Dawson and Jack Butler got the call that will see them be inducted in the Hall of Fame this upcoming August.
During his 11 year career which he split with the New England Patriots and the New York Jets, he was known for his durability and consistency as he rushed for 14,101 yards (4th all time) and 90 Touchdowns. He also joined Barry Sanders as being the only back to rush for at least 1000 yards in his first 10 seasons in the league. In the 2005 season, he was 265 yards shy of becoming the first back to accomplish 1000 yards in his first 11 seasons. As well, he was a 5 time Pro Bowler but there was only one thing that he was missing. The elusive Super Bowl Ring as his only appearance was in Super Bowl XXXI when the Green Bay Packers defeated the Patriots.
Despite the fact that he was not able to win a championship and after what he had gone through in his youth, Curtis Martin is rightfully chosen to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
